In the centre of La Garriga is the “Manzana Raspall”
This is a beautiful avenue lined with century-old banana trees which runs from the Plaza del Silencio to the Malhivern wood.
From the avenue you will see beautiful modernist summer houses that were designed by the architect Manuel Joaquim Raspall (1877-1939), who designed many other houses that are to be found in the Vallès Oriental (Granollers, Cardedeu, L'Ametlla del Vallès).
The houses of la Garriga are known by the name of "Casa Barbey", "La Bombonera", La "Torre Iris" and la "casa Barraquer" and are representative of the first period of the architect, and considered to be one of the most singular collections in Spain.
